the Chair, it was resolved — " That a Public Dinner be given, on Wbdnssdat, 7th September, to His Excellence Sir George Grey, in commemoration of the great benefits he has conferred upon the Inhabitants of this Province, by reducing the price of Land, and by the recent purchases effected in the Wairarapa and other Districts, and also* for the lively interest His Excellency has ma - nifested in facilitating the introduction of theSmall Farm System."
