A few weeks «ii.cc we published the account of an auction sale of sheep and cattle at Newmarket, Auckland, wiiore 10'J v etli t<* *crt gold at 15s. each, and 500 ewes at 18-., and stated therein us remunerative prices ; but they fall very short of the price stock is fetching 1 in this settlement. During the past mouth the Camilla brought 400 sheep and 27 horses to this place. The sheep have all been sold at 30s. and the horses at £30 and upwards. The market may, we understand, at present be stated as follows : Imported ewes, 305.; climatised ditto, 405.; horses, from £30 to £45. A few horses fit for agricultural purposes would sell well. — TarannU Herald, May 4.
