LYTTELTON. [From the Lyttelton Times, May 14.]
We are happy to learn that the differences between the Canterbury Association and the New Zealand Company are likely to be arranged without the intervention of the law. The Australian and New Zealand Gazette is our authority for this information. Messrs. Filby & Co. advertise a ship of 600 tons to snil for Canterbury, Nelson, and other Ports on the 25th January. Messrs. Willis advertise the Maori, 900 tons, for Wellington and Southern Ports on February 10th. Messrs. Wigram & Sons advertise the Essex, 775 tons, for two or more Ports as may be determined on in January, to sail about the middle of March.
