SYDNEY.
Overdue Mails from England.—Very few persons in ihe colony have letters from England of a later date than the middle of October, when the steamer Melbourne left England. The Woolloomooloo brought English newspapers to the 20th November, but her mail was only to the 13th. The Chusan's mail was a very small one, it did not being generally known in England that a mail was to be sent to India on the 24 th December. We are therefore on this 4th April nearly five months wishout English correspondence. The steamer Adelaide was to have left England a second time on the 25th December, but even if she were a day or two later she has been out upwards of ninety days, and as yet we have no news of her.—Herald, 4.
