QIRJ— We have to infottn you that the Directors of the Nelson Mining Company have made a first call of £1 per share, payable on the 31st of December, but giving a further period of two months from that date, before which no shares can be forfeited, thongh^ interest at the rate of 10s. per annum will be charged from the 31st December to the date of payment. Further, in answer to the request of the Wellington Shareholders to appoint Directors, the' Directors of the Nelson Mining Company beg to observe that, prior to it* arrival there, the Company had been constituted, and the Directors elected ; but as, on a point of such importance, it was desirable to have the opinion of the whole body of Shareholders, a special General Meeting was called for the sth of January, when the proposal will be fully considered, and the decision of the Shareholders communicated to you with the least possible delay.
