BANK CHARTERS AMENDMENT ORDINANCE. Pasted the 3rd of January, 1853. Preamble.
Whereas it is expedient to amend the fifth regulation, contained in tile second clause of an Ordinance enacted by the Governor- in- Chief of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, Session XI, No. 13, intituled "An ordinance to authorize the Go-vernor-in-Chief to <»rant Charters of Incorporation to Banking Companies." Fifth Regulation in the 2nd clause repealed, and another Regulation substituted in its place. 1. Be it enacted, by ib' e Goternor-in-Chief of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof 4b follows :— The fifth regulation contained in the second clause of the above in part recited Ordinance is hereby repealed, and the following regulation is substituted for the same :•—* Suspension of payments' on demand at say of the Company's establishments for such period or periods as jnay be prescribed in the Cbartet shall forfeit the Charter of the Company. Commencement. %. This Ordinance shall come into operation from and after the day of the passing heieof. G. Grey, Governor-in-Chief.
