ALLEN will sell by auction, on Wednesday next, 6th October, on the premises, Hawkestone Street, Thorndon, TTOUSEHOLD FURNITURE and -*--*• Effects, comprising Tables, Chairs, Whatnot, Bedsteads, Bedding, Washstands, Pedestal Lamp, Lustres, and Chimney Ornaments, 8-Day Clock, Breakfast and Dinner Services, Glass,&c, -Oil Cloth, Druggett, and the usual Kitchen
Requisites, several Oil Paintings, including one of large size, " Descent from the Cross," a few Engravings, and a small collection of Water-colour Drawings, principally New Zealand scenery and subjects, School and other Books, Forms, &c. A large Copying 1 Machine Set of Geometrical Models, Compound Microscope, Magic Lan thorn with extra Astronomical Slides, Brass-bound Medicine Chest, &c, /&c. &c.
