FROM THE " AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE."
A pamphlet on New Zealand has recently been issued, bearing.the signature of Mr. Pox, the late age.nt of the New, Zealand Company, in which that gentleman states, that he was delegated by the New Zealand settlers to make known the misdoings of Governor Grey. If our readers will turn to our back files, they will there find transcripts from the New Zealand papers in which it is evident that Mr. Fox * was delegated by a mere section, and a paltry one too. in point of numbers.nnd station. They will also find his delegateship accompanied by the significant fact, that the moment he had turned his back on the colony, all parties became friendly with Governor Grey, and_ ex- " pressed their regret that they should have been otherwise, " A^ this moment there is not a more popular governor than the representative of her Majesty in New Zealand ; and, with the exception of his unaccountable tendency to official extravagance, few more deserve the respect paid by the colonists.
