THE AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE MARKETS.

FOREIGN AND COLONIAL. - Liverpool, January 3.-—This being a broken week, and parties taking stock, there has been little doing by private contract, but importers are looking for some improvement soon. The total imports last year were 76, 717 bales. January 10.— Being without stock of useful wool generally, .there is little doing by private contract. If there was a better choice we should have more doing. The imports for the week have been 502 bags. Leeds, January 2. —We have no change whatever to report in the Foreign and Colonial Wool trade during the past week. Jan. 9. —Business to a moderate extent has been transacted in Foreign and Colonial Wools during the past week; but prices have undergone no perceptible alteration. London. — ; The imports of Wool into London in the week ending Jan. 5, were small, comprising. 402 from Van Diemen’s Land, 512 from Taganrog, and 5 from Germany. The market was-quiet, but; firm. The imports of Wool into . London in the week ending Jan. 12, amounted to 825 bales, of which 719 were from Port Phillip, 73 from Italy, 19 from Germany, and the rest from Belgium and Egypt. The market is steady.
