By the Alpha the mails of the William Hyde and Marmora were received, containing answers to letters sent by the Challenger, the mail of which vessel reached England via Panama, in three months. The Agra, 900 tons, was advertised by Messrs, Willis and Co. to sail on the 12th November, for Wellington, Otago, and Canterbury, 1 with libertv to call at Nelson, and another vessel, 700 tons, was to sail about the 20th November, for Auckland, New Plymouth, ■ and Nelson. The Gwalior, 404 tons, to sail 10th November, was laid on for Auckland, Wellington, and Canterbury; I the Katherine Stuart Forbes was also laid on I by Messrs. Willis and Co. for New Zealand.
