DIED.
At Wellington, on the 11th inst., Mr. John Couper, aged 62 years. Mr. Couper was 25 years in the 73rd Regt., under the command of General O’Connell, and served in New South Wales, the EastJndies, Gibraltar and England. He was 16 years Quarter Master Sergeant and was highly respected in the regiment. Mr. Couper emigrated with his family to this colony about six years ago, and was chiefly occupied in the Commissariat office, Wellington. His funeral, which took place yesterday afternoon, was numerously and respectably attended, the Officers of the Commissariat and several officers of H. M. 65th Regt., attending the funeral.
Erratum. —In the leading article of our last number, last line but three, for “ last quarter of 1819,” read “1847.”
