A Match of Cricket came off on Friday the 16th instant, on Thorndon Flat, between 11 of the 65th Regiment and 9 Civilians with Messrs. Wood and Hamley of the Garrison. The day was propitious and the play throughout good, the bowling and fielding on both sides being remarkably steady, the game was won bt the 65th with 30 runs to spare ; we understand the return match will take place on Friday the 23rd.
