We understand that the land at Mr. J. Smith s land sale on Wednesday last realised excellent prices, shewing a decided upward tendency in the value of land, particularly of Town lands in good situations. The land included in Tod’s grant, comprising three acres on Thorndon Quay in the immediate vicinity of the hospital, realized altogether about fifteen hundred pounds, and other Town property was disposed of at similar prices. Some scrip was also sold at an advance on former prices.
