£221 12 0 58 17 6 The following resolutions were then carried — Moved by Mr. St. Hill, seconded by Mr. Kelham— That the following gentlemen be appointed trustees—Archdeacon Hadfield, or the Archdeacon of the district for the time being; Rev. Robert Cole, or the senior clergyman at Wellington for the time being ; Mr. Fitzherbert, Mr. Hickson, Mr. Moore. Moved by Mr. Moore, seconded by Mr. Bannatyne— That a working committee be elected for the ■current year to carry out the objects of the Society, and that the following gentlemen be appointed members of the said committee—The Trustees; the Rev.T.B. Hutton, Capt. Rhodes, Mr. Stokes, Mr. St. Hill, Mr. Spinks, Mr. Godfrey Thomas; Mr. Brandcn, Hon. Sec. to the Committee. Twelve in all; five of whom a < ? ut,rum - And that the Committee be aimua..y elected, the election to take place in the month of January in each year. An amendment, to the first resolution was moved by Mr. Allen, to the effect “ that this meeting do.adjourn to a future day, and that the adjourned meeting do take place in the evening instead of at noon •” but it was not seconded. An amendment to the second resolution was proposed by Mr. Wallace, seconded by Mr. Bishop, “that the election of the Committee be by ballot.” Motion lost. J. C. Raymond, Hon. Secretary.
