Public Sale of Land Allotments and Merchandise. Messrs, bethune & hunter win sell by Auction, at the Exchange, on Wednesday next, 2nd July, One Allotment of Land, 6 Acres, or thereabouts, in Section No 11, Hutt District, known as the Village of Richmond ; One-Eighth of an Acre, in connection with the above, in the village; One-eighth of Acre No. 726, in the Town of Wellington, (derived from the Port Nicholson Land Association); Undivided Moiety of, and Half-Interest in, Whaling Station and Appurtenances at Cloudy Bay, known as S. ALLEN begs leave to call the attention of persons intending to purchase Land, to the extensive Sale of valuable Properties, which will be effected by him on Thursday, the 3rd July next Careful Plans have been prepared, and are on view at the Office of Mr. W. F. Christian. The terms, with reference to each parcel of Property, are of the most liberal description: they will be announced at the time of sale. Mr. A. begs leave to draw the attention of persons wishing to buy Land for Building Purposes, to the certainty of the Ordinance for legalizingßuilding Societies being passed through the Council, that Ordinance having met with the approval of His Excellency Sir George Grey, who has already laid it on the table. Should this bill pass (of which there is very little doubt), great facilities will be by it afforded to the buyers of Land to raise money for the erection of Buildings on any property which they may purchase. The sale will commence with a series of allotments, situated in Molesworth Street, having also a frontage to Hawkstone Street. These Lots have already been divided into certain frontages, which may be extended at the option of the buyer at the time of sale. This Property needs no recommendation. The other parcels of Land are equally well known and equally well situated, one being in the most eligible part of Wellington Terrace, the other on a part of Te Aro Flat, well adapted for Business purposes.
