The following resolu|was submitted to the Meeting and pussillanimously :— |at the offer of His Excellency the Govor-in-Chief to form the inhabitants of the Hutt Bict into a Corporate Body be deliberately ■carefully considered; and to enable the |frs to do so, that a Committee be appointjfith power to send a Deputation to learn 1 His Excellency the responsibilities of the 5 Corporate, their powers, the endowments gublic purposes, arid if possible a draft of Hharter proposed to be granted.
