By recent arrivals we have Lyttelton Times to April 12th. A of the Colonists’ Society had been
London a few days previous to the sailing the Travancore, at which it was stated hat active preparations were making for the departure of the main body of settlers of the canterbury settlement, probably amounting t> two thousand persons. Vessels of the irgest size would be chartered for' their Ecommodation, and it was proposed that le fleet of emigrant ships should leave the ort of London the first week in June, ’he Rev. Dr. Rowley had accepted the ffice of Dean, and would proceed to New Zealand in the June expedition.
