; On Wednesday evening, the 29th ult., an . entertainment was given to the children of j the Scotch Church Sunday School, on the i green in rear of the Manse now in erection ; for the Minister on Wellington Terrace. About fifty children sat down to an excellent repast of tea and cake. A number of ladies and gentlemen were present on the occasion, who expressed themselves highly pleased and gratified with the proficiencyexhibited by the children in the various examinations they went through, which reflected great credit on the teachers. After the examinations were concluded, an appropriate and impressive address was delivered by the clergyman to the young neonle. Altogether the evening was pleasantly and usefully spent.
