We regret to state that Mrs. Head, whose husband was unfortunately killed a few weeks ago, at the time she received a compound fracture of the left leg, died at nine o’clock on Sunday morning from the effects of a severe mis-carriage, occurring after two such severe shocks, mental and bodily, as the loss of her husband and a compound fracture. This poor woman has suffered a series of misfortunes. Soon after her arrival, at an early period cf the colony, she lost two child’en, subsequently, on her wav to Taranaki, she was shipwrecked off Kapiti and lost all her clothes and property. By the late accident she lost her husband and received herself most severe injuries which have ended in her own death. She has left a family of four young children, the youngest only twelve months old.
