ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE. To the Editor of the "New Zealand Spectator." Wellington, December 21, 1850.

Dear Sir, — Referriag to an advertisement under my signature which appears in your paper of this date, announcing an exhibition of flowers, &c, for Monday next, I beg permission to state that, although I have issued that notice in obedience to the wishes of the Committee of the Horticultural Society, yet I most distinctly disavow any participation in an arrangement, which will at least tempt persons to employ part of Sunday in gathering fruits, &c, for the exhibition. I have the honor to remain, Dear Sir, your 's very truly, J. Woodward, Secretary Horticultural Society.
