As only a limited space h.-is been reserved for Intermediate and Steerage passengers, early application will be necessary, or cargo will be engaged to fill the place intended for such passengers. Naval Intelligence. — Trincomalee, August 7. — Her Majesty's steam sloop Fury, Commander Willcox, left this for Madras on the 19th ult., to bring coals and provisions — the former for herself, the latter for our small squadron here. During her absence the Canada freight ship arrived with abundant supplies of everything from Deptford, and on the 29th ult. the Fury returned from Madras. A small schooner, the Australia, purchased for the colony of New Zealand, at Bombay, and brought here by the Cambrian, 40, Commodore Plumerid^e, C.8., left this place for Singapore on the Ist inst., in charge of Lieutenant Webber, of Her Majesty's ship Hastings, 72, flag of Rear Admiral Sir Francis Collier, C.8., &c. On her arrival there she will be handed over to the Hon. Captain Keppel, of Her Majesty's ship Meander, 44, which ship is about to quit this station for the Pacific, and on her way will leave the Australia at New Zealand. — Times, September 28.
