NOTICE is hereby given, that a Public . Meeting of the. Colonists will be beld on 'Thursday evening next, the 27th instant, at 8 o'clock, at the Britannia Saloon, for the purpose of; electing a permanent Committee and Officers and to make arrangements for the celebration of the ensuing Anniversary. MESSRS SMITH & GREATHEAD beg most respectfully to inform the inhabitants of Wellington, the Hutt, and Porirua, that they have purchased the Premises recently occupied by Mr. Broadbent, in Manners-street, where they intend to carry on the business of 'Smiths in all its particular branches, and by strict attention to orders and superior workmanship, they hope to merit a share of public patronage.
