CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION.

SEALED TENDERS for the Erection of Emigration Barracks, Stores, Out-build-ings, Office, School -house, and Church will be received up to the 23rd instant, at the Canterbury Association Office, Thorndon Flat, where also drawings and specifications may be seen and further information obtained. Approved security will be required for the •due performance of the work. Scaled Tenders will also be received'for the suoply of the undermentioned articles, to be delivered at P^rt Cooper, viz. : — Riding and Draught Horses, Drays and Harness. Timber Dray and Chain complete, Pile Driver with Windlass, Chain, Monkey, and Woiking Gear complete. The lowest tender will not necessarily be -accepted. J. Losses by the late Earthquakes. HPHE Sufferers by the late Earthquakes who J_ have sent in particulars of their losses, are hereby informed that the Memorial to Earl Grey, her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, praying for compensation for the same, will lie for signature at the office of the undersigned on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday next, the 14th, loth, and 16th instant, from 11 until 1 o'clock each d y.
