ROWLAND DAVIS HAVING disposed of his Premises known as the AURORA TAVERN, and Britannia Saloon, to Mr. James Firth, respectfully returns his most grateful thanks to his numerous Friends for the kind and liberal manner in which they have supported his Establishment for above seven years, and, at^a period, in all probability, the most eventful in the history of the Colony. In taking leave of his Friends and Customers, R. D. refers with pride to the many thousands who have attended the entertainments and assemblies at the Saloon, with the gratifying fact of no individual, since the opening of the Saloon, having been charged at the Police Office for misconduct ; — and begs to offer his thanks publicly to the authorities for the prompt assistance and indulgence awarded to him on all occasions; and, in conclusion, assures his Friends, that he will- always retain a grateful recollection of the unvaried kindness he has received.

ROWLAND DAVIS requests that any person having claims against him will send the same for payment, and persons indebted are requested to settle as soon as possible. ( Wellington, May 8, 1849.
