POSTPONEMENT op HUTT AUCTION.
The Sale of General Merchandize, &c, &c, &c, advertised by Messrs. JAMES SMITH & Co. To take place at the Hutt on Monday next, is unavoidably postponed until MONDAY the 13th instant. Particulars will duly appear by hand-bills. Wellington, 3rd November, 1848.
LOST, on Wednesday, the Ist inst., about mid- day, between Maori Row and Willis Street, a White Pocket-handkerchief, with two one-pound notes, a sovereign, half-sovereign, and some silver tied in it, amounting to nearly four pounds. Whoever will bring the same to the office of this paper will be gratefully thanked and suitably rewarded, by the owner. Wellington, November 4, 1848.
