At his residence, at Auckland, on Monday, the 18th September, after a short but painful illness, in the 30th year of his age, Lieutenant A. M'Lbod Hat, of the 58th Regiment, eldest son of the late Colonel Hat, of Westerton, Morayshire, N.B. This officer served with his regiment daring the operations in the North and South of New Zealand, and died universally lamented by his brother officers.
