NOTICE.
JHOGG, Watchmaker, being about to • proceed to Wanganui, notifies to those Parties who have left Watches, &c, in his possession, that the same can be obtained on application to Mr.-W. Lyon. J. H. begs to return thanks to his Friends for the liberal support which he has received since he commenced business. Watches, Clocks, &c, will be repaired and cleaned as heretofore, provided parties will leave them in charge of Mr. Lyon, who will forward the sajne to Wanganui. Wellington, September 2, 1848.
TENDERS FOR BEACH ROAD.
rpENDERS will be received by the Committee X for Repairing the Beach Road, for making a Footpath of the width of seven feet, with a stone curb, from the corner of Kumutoto-street, (Mr. Brandon's office) to Mr. Frazer's Store, Lambton Quay — also, for making a Footpath of the width of five feet, with a stone curb, from Mr. Frazer's Store to the end of the wooden breastwork, Lambton Quay. Tenders sealed and endorsed . " Tenders for Footpath" to be sent, on or before Wednesday next, Sept.' 13th, to the office of Mr. Park, Surveyor, where specifications of the works may be seen and further particulars obtained. THE GENTLEMEN who subscribed to a fund to assist the Government in offering a reward of £100 on the 4th Dec. 1846. for the apprehension of the aboriginal native Petomi, charged with the murder of the orphan boy Mathew Hobman, are requested to meet at Mr. R. Da vis's Saloon, on Saturday next, at seven o'clock, p.m. to take into consideration how the £50 now lodged in the Savings' Bank shall be appropriated. W. B. Rhodes. W. E. Wallace.
