Wesleyan Missionary Anniversary. ON SUNDAY next, the 10th instant, Sermons in behalf of the Wellington Auxiliary Wesleyan Missionary Society, will be preached in the Church Manners Street, in the morning at 11 o'clock, by the Rev. Charles Creed from Waikouaiti, and in the evening at 6£ o'clock, by the Rev. John Aldred, from Nelson. _ On Monday the 11th instant, a Public Missionary Meeting will be held in the above place, Mr. J. Woodward, Congregational Minister, will take the Chair at 6J o'clock p. m. N.B.— A Public Tea Meeting, in behalf of the Funds of the Church, will be held on Wednesday the 13th instant. Tea at 5 o'clock p.m. Wellington, 6th Sept., 1848.

JHOGG, Watchmaker, being about to • proceed to Wanganui, notifies to those Parties who have left Watches, &c, in his possession, that the same can be obtained on application to Mi". W. Lyon. J. H. begs to return thanks to his Friends for the liberal support which he has received since he commenced business. Watches, Clocks, &c, will be repaired and cleaned as heretofore, provided parties will leave them in charge of Mr. Lyon, who will forward the same to Wanganui. Wellington, September 2, 1848.

DEPARTURES. September 2 — Schooner Harlequin, 62 tons, Price, for Pigeon Bay. September 3 — Schooner Sisters, 134 tons, Clark, for Auckland. Passengers — Messrs. Strode, Gisborne, Richards, Masters Kelly, Mr. and Mrs. Levi, Miss Levi, Mr. and Miss Newton, Mrs. Kebblewhite. September 4 — Barque Victory, 578 tons, Mullens, for Nelson.
