ARRIVALS. August 2 — Ship Kelto, 568 tons, Roxburgh, from Twofold Bay. Same day — Schooner Agnes Hay, 35 tons, Daymood, from Otakou and Island Bay. Same day — Schooner Edward Stanley, 25 tons, Armstrong, from Porirua. Same day — Schooner Governor Grey, 35 tons, T*ylor, from Wanganui. August 3— Schooner Hoturangi, 16 tons, Sanford, from Tolaga Bay. Same day — Barque Svbraon, 510 tons, Mills, from Sydney via Newcastle.
DEPARTURES. August 2 — Cutter Alpha, 37 tons, Ay res, for Kelson. Same day— Schooner Osprey, 150 tons, Griggs, for Bataria. August 4— Schooner Maid of the Mill, 30 tons, Spencer, for Taranaki.
The Louis and Miriam was advertized to sail for Port Nicholson direct from Sydney. The April Post office packet had not arrived. The Government Brig Victotia arrived on the 15th July, from Taranaki 30th June. The Barque William 334 tons, Johnson, sailed for Port Nicholson on the 14th July. Passengers — Mr. Temple and four Stockmen. H. M. steamer Acheron, Captain J. L. Stokes, arrived at the Cape of Good Hope on the 2nd May.
Died, at his residence, ThorndonFlat, on the 3rd inst., Mr. John Barry, mnch respected.
