The Road to the Horokiwi district from the Porirua Road commences in the section. The intended New Road from Ngauranga will pass through this Section, and join the present Porirua Road at

this point. The Land is well timbered and has an excellent Stream of Water, being the principal branch of the Ngauranga The above Section h s been judiciously laid out in allotments by Robert Park, Esq., to suit purchasers, a Plan of which may be viewed at the Auction Room. J PETHERIC begs to inform the public • that he is ready to execute Plasterer's work of any description, either by contract or day work, on the most reasonable terms, and trusts by his general experience in the business (in which he was engaged for fifteen years in London previous to his arrival in New Zealand) to give satisfaction to those by whom he may be employed. Rear- Admiral Inglefield, Naval Commander-in-Chief of the East Indies, and nominally of this station, died at Bombay the latter end of February, aged sixty-six years. H. M. S. Vernon had been condemned at Bombay. She was reckoned one^of the finest frigates in the navy, and was only 18 years old, but her timbers were found to be completely rotten. — Sydney Shipping Gazette, June 17.
