rpHE UNDERSIGNED have enterX ed into arrangements for the importation of a Cargo of very superior COWS, HEIFERS, and STEERS, to be carefully selected by a competent judge from the well known and justly celebrated herds of the late Dr. Beaumont. (Bow and arrow brand.) There will also be for sale from 600 to 800 fine-woolled Maiden EWES, several excellent Draught and Saddle MARES, and a few good PONIES. This shipment is expected to arrive within six weeks, and intending purchasers are requested to make early application, as a considerable portion of the cargo is already sold. BETHUNE & HcNTER. Remarks. — A White Flag at Mast Head de notes a sail in sight; when the class is ascertained, the descriptive Signal will be hoisted at the Yard Arm. English vessel of war, Union Jack at Mas* Head. Foreign vessel of war, Union Jack at Mast Head, with white Pendant. Government brig, white Pendant under de* scriptive Signal. When a vessel is at anchor, either inside or outside the Heads, the flag is lowered to half mast. A vessel in distress, or on shore, descriptive signal half mast. Fore and aft schooner, a triangle hollow isthe centre.
