ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE. To the Editor of the New Zealand Spectator.
Sib, — The following petition, from a committee of the Dogs of Wellington, was agreed to at a recent meeting held in underground apartments, specially hired (as a precaution against the police) for the occasion ; and I was requested to forward it to you, with an expression of the committee's earnest wish for its transmission to England, and its general diffusion by means of your Journal. I am, Sir, Your most obedient servant, Argus, Chair-Dog of the committee.
