BRITANNIA CRICKET CLUB. NOTICE OF DAYS FOR PRACTICE.

AT A MEETING of the Members of this Club, held at Barrett's Hotel, (pursuant to advertisement) on Saturday evening the 18th instant, it was resolved that the Members should meet for the purpose of practice on Thorndon Flat on Wednesday and Saturday, weather permitting — on Wednesday at 3 in the afternoon, and Saturday at 2. Wellington, 22nd March, 1848.

WESLEYAN DAY SCHOOL.

THE above establishment is under the management of Mr. R. O. Clark, who is competent to impart a sound English education to the children committed to his care. The higher branches (as they are called) taught if required. The system followed is the British and Foreign ; the spirit in which it is conducted — Anti-sectarian. Terms and hours may be learned on application to the Master, at the School Room, behind the Church, Manners-st. ~ "That the soul be without knowledge is not good. ' ' — Solomon.
