Si rj — We beg leave thiough the medium of your paper to return our sincere and grateful thanks to the Officers, Non Commissioned Officers, and Privates of »'. MY 65th Regiment, alsotoCapt. Sotheby, Officers, and men of H.M. S. Racehorse, and to the Civilians who rendered their valuable assistance in aiding; to save the greater portion of our premises this morning from fire ; had it not been for the prompt attendance of the Government fire engine and the efficient working of the same, and favoured by the direction of the wind, the whole of our property must have been destroyed. Amongst others in attendance we noticed Major Patience, Adjutant Rhatigan, D.A.C.G. Lardner, an Officer o(H. M.S. Racehorse, A. M'Donald Esq., Manager of the Union Bank of Australia, George Hunter, Esq., &c, &c. We remain, Your obedient servants W. B. Rhodes & Co.
