RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT. Wellington, 14th October, 1847. Before Henry St. Hill, Esq., R.M.
Te Rangitapiripiri, i lias Kopikipiki, an aboriginal native of New Zealand, having been brought from the Manawatu by ihiee natives, who on their arrival at Otaki dispaiched a messenger to the Police at Waikanae, into whose custody the prisouer was given, was brought before H. St. .Hill, Esq., charged with the wilful murder of Perhni Te More, at the Manawatu, on or about the 4th September, 1847. As the Resident Magistrate declined to permit the publication of the evidence, we are only enabled to st.Ue that the prisoner was fully committed to take ius trial at the next sittings of the Supreme Court at Wellington, and the witnesses were bound over to prosecute.
