The House contains two small parlours, kitchen, pantry, and one bed-room, on the ground- floor; and three bed-rooms, and a store closet above ; stabling, &c, is attached. The gardens are well-stocked' with hearing fruit-trees of every description^ and there are abotit six acres of ground well cleared, and sown down with grass, which would easily keep two or three cows or horses. Sydney Shipping. Arrivals — August 7 — .Schooner Scotia, 68 tons, Ward, from Wellington 27th July. ' August 7 — Schooner Frolic, 71 tons, Pilfold, from Wellington 13th July. The Star of China and Scotia were advertized to sail immediately for Wellington. The Deborah would also be laid on for this Port on her arrival from Auckland.
Port Stephen. — Arrived, August 8. — The Schooner Comet, Cork, master, from Taranaki, for Newcastle after a very boisterous passage of upwards of three weeks, main boom sprung. The Comet is chartered to take 600 sheep for New Zealand, which are ready at Newcastle for shipment. — Australian, August 10. The Star of China has been thirty-six days on the passage from Nelson, having experienced a succession of heavy gales since leaving that port. Having run short of provisions, she was compelled to put into Port Stephens on Tuesday last, where she obtained a fresh supply, and resumed her voyage the following day. She brings no news, and has not seen any vessels on the passage. S. M. H. Aug. 14.
