Birth. — On the 29th ult., at her residence, Te Aro, the lady of Dr. Philson, 58th Regt., Foot, of a daughter.

Married on Saturday, 31st July, 1847, at the Church, Wellington, by the Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of New Zealand, the Rev. Henry Govett, B. A. (Worcester College, Oxford), to Margaret, second Daughter of the late George Hunter, Esq.

Death. — Accidentally drowned in attempting to cross the bar of the Wanganui river, Robert Richards, Commander of H. M. Colonial Brig Victoria, aged 51 years.
