THE PRICE OF ADVERTISING in the '* New Zealand Spectator and Cook's Strait Guardian" is — Turee-pence a line for the first insertion of all advertisements, and one penny a line for every subsequent insertion. Advertisements will be received at the Spectator office, Manners-street, up to Ten o'clock of the evening previous to publication.

LECTURES.

A COURSE OF TEN LECTURES on the Evidences of Christianity and other kindred subjects will be delivered (if the Lord will) in the "Wesleyan Chapel, Manners-street, by the Independent, Wesleyan, and Presbyterian Ministers in Wellington. Lecture IV. will he delivered on Sabbath evening next, the 25th inst., by The Rev. James Duncan.

Subject. The Internal Evidence for the Inspiration of the Bible. Public Worship will commence at half-past Six o'clock. The other Lectures will follow weekly. Wellington, July 21th, 1847.

ANY Person or Persons purchasing Cattle or Sheep depasturing on Table Island, or better known by the name of the Island of Mana, in Cook's Strait, New Zealand ; likewise cattle and sheep depasturing at Morraki, on the Middle Island; or the produce from the same ; the principal part of the cattle branded JH : no sales or receipts after this notice will be valid, without my written authority. Also, Parties chartering or shipping goods by the Schooner Mana of Wellington, are cautioned, As no receipts for payment of freights, or charter parties, after this date, will be valid, without my written authority. Joseph Henderson. Wellington, 3d Jan. 1846.
