GOVERNMENT NOTICES. CONTRACTS— HUTT ROAD. Secretary's Office, Wellington, Bth June, 1847. SEALED TENDERS, in Duplicate, will be received at this office until Twelve o'clock of Saturday, the 19th instant, for the execution of the undermentioned Works on the Hutt Road. Ist. The formation of the Bed of the Road between Shirley!* and Thomas 1 clearing*, a distance of 18 chains more or less, at per chain. 2nd. For Metalling that portion of the Road between " M'Donogh's Creek" and " Thomas' Clearing," a distance of 48 chains, at per chain. 3rd. For Metalling a portion of the Road, between the " Second River" and the "Waiwelu" near the Taita — a distance of 69 chains more or less, at per chain, 4th. For the formation of the Bed of the Road above the Taita, for a distance of half a mile*— described in Specification as Lot No. 3. sth. For the Construction of several small Bridges or Drains on the line of Road. The Specifications of the above Works may be seen, and all other information obtained at the Survey Office, Wellington.
