WOOL AND OIL.
London, 30th December, 1846. Confirming the foregoing, we have now the pleasure to hand you a price current of our recent wool sales, which terminated, we are happy to say, at rather better rates than they opened. And the market for next year presents a decidedly favourable aspect we consider. In the value of oil, we have no actual alteration to note, but a fine parcel of sperm on the spot would now command £90 per tun, we think. Tallow may again be quoted at 50s. per cwt. A renewed demand has sprung up for corn, both for France and Ireland, and has had the effect of once more advancing our market considerably, so that we should now quote 735. to 755. per quarter, as the value of the finest samples of Australian wheat. Buckles & Co. 2nd January, 1847. Wheat has further advanced 2s. per quarter. W. & Co.
