Sydney Shipping.

The Brig Sir John Byng, sailed for Port Nicholson via Newcastle, April 28. The steamer Juno has hauled alongside the Flour Company's Wharf, where she is taking in coals and ballast. The troop-ship Java arrived at Swan River frorr Hobart Town on the 22nd February, and was to sail again for India on the 15th March. The Mount Stewart Elphinttont has been 125 days on the passage. The Barque Thomas King, for Sydney, was in the Downs, and was expected to sail the same day. She has spoken no vessels connected with these colonies on the passage.

English Shipping.

The Barque St. George, Hernaman. hence the 22nd July, arrived at Plymouth on the Bth December, with part of cargo thrown overboard, quarter gallery carried away, -and stern timber transom started. The Posthumous, Marshall, hence the 6th July, arrived at Gravesend on the 16th December ; Commander Patten of the Osprey, and the other officers, and part of the crew, who proceeded to England by this vessel, had been ordered to Portsmouth, where the court martial upon them for the loss of the Osprey at New Zealand was to take place. The Barque Palestine, Lidderdale, hence the 11th July, with Sir George Gipps on board, arrived in the Downs on the 20th December. The Barque Buttorah Merchant, 513 tons, Beale, was to sail for Sydney on the Ist January, being the Post office packet. The Boadicia, 346 tons, Mackie, was to sail for Sydney on the sth January ; the Prince of Wales, 582 tons, Alexander, on the 15th January ; the Woodbridge, 750 tons, Poulton, on the 25th January ; and the Glentanner, (P.0.P.), 610 tons, Brock, on the Ist February.— S.
