WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
The Perth papers received yesterday announce the melancholy intelligence of the death of his Excellency Lieutenant- Colonel Clarke, the Governor of the Western colony, in his 54th year. Major Frederick Chidley Irwin, the senior member of the Executive Council, hid assumed the reins as Acting-Governor until her Majesty's pleasure could be known.
