By the / Don't Knov:, from Hobart Town, we have papers from that city, and also from Launceston, to the 6th instant inclusive. The Courier with reference to the " 15 per cent, duty," states, that a petition, signed by the shipowners, merchants, and others of Hobart Town, and praying that measures may be taken to prevent the Act by which 15 per cent, duty will be levied on all goods from the neighbouring colonies, on an I after the Ist of April, fioni coming into operation, has been presented to his Excellency by Messrs. T. D. Chapman, Haller, and Boys. The Governor promised to convene the Executive for the consideration of the matter. Subjoined are the latest particuiars of the Grain and Flour market: —

Launceston, March s.—Our grain market is firm at an advance on last week's prices. A large parcel of good clean wheat, fit for the London market, sold this week for 4s. ; the price may bt- stated at from 3s. 5>J. to 4s. per bushel. The price of other grain is without change.—Chronicle.

Hobakt Town, March s.—Wheat has advauced in piice to 55., with scarcely a bushel to be found at market. Flour has also advanced to £12; but bread at present continues as before. — Courier.
