Secretary's Office, Wellington, 25th March, 1847. SEALED TENDERS, in duplicate, will be receired at this office, until twelve o'clock of THURSDAY, the Bth April next, from parties desirous of supplying the Local Government TWth TOTARA and MAI TIMBER, during the Quarter -ending the 30th June,

The Timber is required For the construction •of small bridges on the road between the Hutt Bridge and the Gorge; it will consist princiSslly of scantling in convenient lengths, — to be elivered at such places as may be pointed out. The Tenders should state the price per 100 feet board measure, and no Timber will be received which is not approved by the Officer appointed to take charge of it. Tenders should also state how many thousand feet per week the parties will engage to

furnish. Offers will at the same time be received for the HIRE of CARTS, HORSES, and DRIVERS, at per diem, to he employed on the Hutt line of Road, as above described. Also, on the Road between Wellington and Petoni. The number of Carts and Horses, &c, the parties will be prepared to furnish when called upon, should be stated. The whole of the Timber for this Bridge will be furnished, the Contractor merely including the Labour and Iron work.
