The following are the Signals used at th* Flag Staff at Mount Albert.
A Square denotes a Ship, "I Whenth* Acjos* « a Barque, [•—& A Circle a Brig, I „ „ _ A Triangle " .Schooner, {^c FLAO A Diamond " a CCutterr r iSaS A Parallelogram" a- Steamer, J lowered. Remarks. — A White Flag at Mast Head denotes a sail in sight; when the class is ascertained, the descriptive Signal will be hoisted at • the Yard Arm. Engljs& vessel of war, Union Jacket Mast Head. " : Foreign vessel of war, Union Jack *t Mast Head, with white Pendant. ' Government brig r white Pendant under de- ■ scriptive Signal. When a vessel is at anchor, either inside of outside the Heads, the flag is lowered to half mast. A vessel in distress, or on shore, descriptive signal, half mast. Fore and aft schooner, a triangle hollow i» the centre.
