PEES ON CROWN GRANTS ORDINANCE
An Ordinance to repeal the Crown Grants Ordinance, Session 5, No. 3, and to impose Fees for the delivery of all Crown Grants. [PwseS tbe 3rd day of November, 1846.] WHEREAS, hy an Ordinance enacted by the Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, Session 5, No. 3, Intituled *' An Ordinance far imposing Fees on the delivery of Crown Grants in certain cases." Fees are imposed upon the delivery of every , Crown Grant which shall have been allowed to remain in the Office of the Colonial Secretary, .gr in" any other Government Office, for more than Three Calendar Months, at the rate of Five Shillings a Month. Ayd whereas it is expedient that a Fee should be charged on the Delivery of *11 Prown Grants, b)%t, withont reference to the time which they may have been allowed to remain in such Officers asu aforesaid. Be it enacted by the Lieutenant? , Governor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follpws :
1. The said recited Ordinance shall be, and the same is hereby repealed. J£. Before the delivery of any Crown Grant, there shall be demanded from, and paid by the Grantee therein named, or other the person duly authorised to receive such Grant, the sum of twenty shillings and no other fees for or in respect of- the preparation of any such ■Grant shall be payable thereon, anything in the said recited Ordinance contained to the contrary notwithstanding. 3. All Fees received under the authority of this Ordinance, shall be paid to the ColoI nial Treasurer, to the use of her Majesty, her Heirs, and Successors, for the public uses of the colony, and the support of the Government thereof.
