Bt the~ Government brig whidh arrived on Monday evening, we have Auckland papers to Novr. 21, containing a Report of the proceedings of the Legislative Council which closed its sittings on the 18th ultimo. From a desire to furnish our readers .wiflL as full a report as possible of the Council's proceedings, we have republished from the New Zealandcr of the 21st the proceedings of the Land Purchase and Land Claims Bill, and will continue to republish the Council's proceedings until the whole is completed. We will take the opportunity in, our next number of reviewing the labours of the Sessiom. His Excellency it was expected, would be detained by business at Auckland until the middle of this month, when he would return to Wellington in the Driver. The Castor had proceeded to Hobart Town with the rebels taken during the late military operations in this district, and sentenced by the Court Martial to be transported for- life.
