REKAftK*.-~A White Flag at Mast Head denotes a sail in sight; when tht class is ascertained, the descriptive Signal will be hoisted at the Yard Arm. English vessel of war, Union Jack at Mas 'Head. JPoreign vessel of war, Union Jack at Matt Head, with white Pendant. Government brig, white Pendant under descriptive Signal. When a vessel is at anchor, either inside oi outside the Heads, the flag is lowered to half inaat. A vessel in distress, or on shore, descriptive signal /half jnast. Face and aft schooner, a triangle hollow in 4b/« eeptre.
