130 head. These Cattle have been on shore since the 11th inst., and are all in healthy condition, and will be disposed of by private bargain, in lots to suit purchasers. In consequence of the great number of deaths which take place among Cattjenewly landed in this settlement, these stock will be warranted to live for SrxrY Days fiom the date of landing. GOVERNMENT NOTICE.

TO BUILDERS, STONEMASONS, &c. rpENDERS will be received by the GovernX ment up to 2Sth May, for the erection of a Military Barrack of Stone at Paramatta, at the entrance to Porirua Harbour. The Plans and Specifications may be seen at the office of the Architect, Mr. T. H. Fitzgerald, after 18th May, where also all other necessary information relative to the nature of the ground and the best mode of procuring the materials may be obtained. THE TENDERS for the construction of a portion of the new road to Porirua submitted in pursuance of a public notice, dated 28th April 1846, not having been accepted — It is hereby notified that Tenders will be received at this office until Friday, the sth June next, from persons desirous of contracting for the execution of that part of the intended road which extends from Bidmead's section, No. 2, of the Kinapora district, to Hobb's clearing in the same district, a distance of ninety-nine chains. The plans and sections may be viewed at the office of Mr. T. H. Fitzgerald, on Lambton Quay, where forms for tendering may be ob-

tamed. The Tenders must be sealei and endorsed *' Tenders for construction of a portion ofPorirua Road." By command, S, E. Grimstone, Secretary.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Sitting of the Supreme Court, for the despatch of Criminal business, will be holden at the Court House, in Wellington, on Wednesday, the third day of June next, at ten o'clock in the forenoon ; at which time and place, all persons under recognizances to appear, either as prosecutors, defendants, or witnesses, are required to give their attendance.
