"TTIS EXCELLENCY the LIEQTENANT JJL GOVERNOR directs it to be notified, that in order to avoid delay and inconvenience to the Public, the Debentures issued in the Southern dhision of the colony, in conformity with the terms of the Government Notice dated 24th November, 1845, in exchange for those lately in circulation, will, in future, bear the signatures of. the Superintendent, Secretary, and SubTreasurer of Wellington, in lieu of those of the Governor, Colonial-Secretary, andTßEAsurer: and that all Debentures bearing such signatures will be recognized at the Colonial Treasury. Commissariat Office, Willis Street, Wellington, 24th April, 1846. NOTICE TS HEREBY GIVEN, That SEALED Tenders in Duplicate, will be received by the Undeisigned, until Monday the 4th day of May next, for supplying the Commissariat Department, at Paramatta Point, Poiirua, with the undermentioned articles, in such quantities as may be required between the 15th proximo and fhe 31st March, 1847, under the conditions published in the Wellington Spectator of the 7th March last, with reference to contracts for furnishing similar supplies to the troops at Wellington, viz. Rum, (West India,) at per Imperial Gallon. Mould Candles, at per lb. Dip Candles, at per lb. For Hospitals, &c. Arrow Root, Sago,* Rice, Tea, 1 Sugar, Oatmeal. Salt, Yellow V. at per "Soap, PearlT3arley, mixed Ye- I getables, Potatoes. Fine Bread ■* Milk, at per pint. Port Wine, at per d- zen. Vinegar, at per Imperial Gallon. Porter, at per dozen. Separate Tenders may be sent in for any one or more of the above articles, except those under the head of Hospitals, which must all- be

NOTICE IS'HEREBY GIVEN, That SEALED Tenders in duplicate, will be received by the Undersigned, until further notice, at the Commissariat Office, for the purchase of Commissariat Bills drawn upon the Right Honorable the Lords Commissioners of her Majesty's Treasury, in sums of £100, £150, _200, and £300. British Gold and Silver Coins alone will be
taken in exchange. The Tenders will be unsealed on each Thursday succeeding the date hereof, when the lowest if approved of, will be accepted. G. D. Lardner. D.A.C.G.
GOVERNMENT NOTICE.
To Road-Makers, Contractors, &c. HHENDERS will be received up to 11th May, JL for the construction of a Cart-road between Section No. 2. of the Kinapora District on the Porirua Road, and the^Stockade on No. 14. x>f the same distiict. The Plan and Sections of the proposed line, with the necessary specifications, may be seen after 3d May, at Mr. T. H. Fitzgerald's Office, where for-ms of tender may be obtained, and where all tenders, which must be sealed, are to be addressed indorsed on the covei — " Tender fot Porirua Road." Each party tendering must comply with the above conditions, and name two respectable securities for the due performance of their engagement, otherwise no notice will be taken of their tender. April 25, 1846.

Same day. — Schooner Kate, 62 tons, Salmon, from. Sydney. April 24.— Cutter Ann and Sarah, 28 tons, Sinclair, from the East Coast. April 25. — Schooner Ocean, 30 tons, Ferguson, from Chatham Islands. Same day. — Schooner Susannah Ann, 79 tons, Hensley, from Chatham Islands. Same day. — American Barque Iris, of New London, 21 months out. -with 560 barrels oil. The Ins spoke the SI -ins Castle 75 miles to the Southward, she had lost her maintop mast.
DEPARTURES. April 18.— Barque Slaint Castle, 550 tons, Dawson, for Porirua. April 22.— H. M.5. Castor, 36 guns, Captain Graham, for Auckland. Same day. — H.M. Steamer Driver, 6 guns, Commander C. O. Hayes, for Auckland. April 23. — Government brig Victoria, 200 lons, Richards, for Wanganui.
